Loving County, Texas

Loving County is a county in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 82,〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/48/48301.html )〕 making it the least populous county in the United States. Owing partly to its small and dispersed population, it also has the highest median per capita and household income of any county in Texas.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=SELECTED ECONOMIC CHARACTERISTICS 2006-2010 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Profile of General Population and Housing Characteristics: 2010 Demographic Profile Data )〕 Loving County has no incorporated communities; its county seat and only community is Mentone.〔(【引用サイトリンク】accessdate=2011-06-07 )〕 The county was originally created in 1887, although after being disorganized, it was finally reorganized in 1931.
Part of the Haley Ranch, founded by the father of Texas historian J. Evetts Haley, is in Loving County, with another portion in neighboring Winkler County.
